Sedna Goddess of Victims
Sedna has arrived into your life to release you from the victim cycle.
Are you stuck on the merry-go-round of blame? Are you attracting cruel, unkind or inconsiderate people into your life? Does everyone seem to take advantage of you? Are you surrounded by those whom are consumed by helplessness or revenge. Have you lost sight of joy and happiness?
Look realistically at what you are creating or have created. Recognize that you remain powerless as a Victim and it is time to work to change it.
Sedna reminds us that we have all been victimized by something or somebody in our lives, but holding on to anger destroys our chance to heal.
Sedna commands that you reclaim your power through forgiveness. Life is too short and precious to be wasted being a Victim. Rather than dispersing your energy in the despair of victim-hood, instead use your anger to create what you want.
Suggested Ritual
Go to a quiet, warm place where you will not be disturbed for about 30 minutes. Play soft music if available. Sitting with your spine erect take twenty deep calming breaths.
Close your eyes and mentally scan your body from toes to head. Breath into any tensions, tightness or pain until completely relaxed. Imagine that you are in a glorious garden. Visualize the trees, lawns, flowers and fountains. There is a bench that you move to sit upon and momentarily enjoy the delightful surroundings.
Someone approaches and you realize that person is yourself. Your other self is weeping ... ask why, and then listen to the reply compassionately and without interruption. Your other self is taking you on a journey into your past. As you listen you become aware that your other self has begun to grow smaller and younger, until a small child is now speaking to you of it's sadness.
When your inner child has finished telling you of every sadness it can summon, provide the comforting words and support that the child desperately needs to hear. Become your own parent with the hugs and words of empowerment that you need. When complete allow the inner child to continuing shrinking until the child can fit into the palm of your hand.
Complete this meditation by pressing the child firmly into your heart and promise your inner self that you will love, cherish and care for their needs forever...
About The Goddess
The Intuitives of North America called their Sea Goddess Sedna (pronounced sed'nah).
Sedna was once a beautiful woman who was not satisfied with the many suitors who courted her. Wooed by a seagull with promises of plenty of food and servants, she went to live with the bird people. Instead of the promised conditions, she was forced to live in filth and squalor. When her father came for a visit, she begged him to take her back home with him across the waters.
The bird people pursued them and to save his own life, her father threw Sedna overboard. When she tried to climb back into the boat, he cut off her fingers. Sedna's cut fingers transformed into fish and sea mammals.
